A great winter hike past the Schwingebrücke bridge and the Schwedenschanze. Very beautiful to see and highly recommended 👍🏼.

Lake Bremervörde 💙 is absolutely spectacular and highly recommended 👍🏻. Hiking and cycling tours are possible here, or you can simply enjoy a stroll. There are public restrooms at the campervan site. A restaurant, a snack bar, and a mini-golf course are available. The mini-golf course is located right next to the kiosk. There's also a boat rental and a very nice, interesting children's playground. On hot days, it's advisable to bring a change of clothes for the children. There are play areas with water features. You can learn a lot about nature 💚 – it's beautiful. There are also plenty of seating areas around the lake, so you can take a break at any time. Many events take place at Lake Bremervörde 💙. You can find information online. A visit to Vörder See is recommended at any time of year 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

Schwingetal Stade: The Schwinge River is approximately 29 kilometers long. It rises between Elm and Mulsum and flows into the Elbe River near Stadersand. The river winds its way in large loops (meanders) all the way to Stade, truly living up to its name. The Schwingetal valley stretches across the wide river valley with its wetlands, riparian forests, marshes, and streams from Hagen to the Hanseatic city of Stade. It is a popular destination for day trips. The Barger Heide heathland is also located in the Schwingetal valley. A visit is wonderful at any time of year.

Anyone visiting the Schwinge meadows will inevitably come across the numerous bridges spanning the Schwinge River. When the meadows are flooded, the higher bridges offer a fantastic view of the meadows. The Schwinge Bridge near Wiepenkathen is located within the Schwinge Meadows nature reserve. It provides a great shortcut from Stade to Wiepenkathen. A hiking and cycling trail leads across the bridge. From the bridge, there is a magnificent view of the Schwinge River. Park benches are available for taking a break. A jetty has been built for canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding. Anglers also try their luck here from time to time. Many dog walkers enjoy strolling their dogs in this area.

Bremervörde Harbor is located at the end of the Oste federal waterway at kilometer 0.2 LU. (The signage currently still shows the old value of kilometer 8.65.) From the Elbe near Neuhaus, the Oste River flows for approximately 68 kilometers through green marshland, with numerous curves. A pleasant cruise takes in numerous towns and boat docks. At high tide, Bremervörde Harbor can be reached in approximately 6 hours. Excellent restaurants and a variety of shopping opportunities are located near the well-equipped harbor and in the city center. Entry to Bremervörde Harbor is only possible at high tide (up to 1.70 m draft). The harbor does not dry out; only at the entrance does the water depth reach approximately 0.60 m at low tide.
