Jürgenstorf was almost completely destroyed and depopulated during the Thirty Years' War. Of the original nine farmers and seven cottagers, only four people remained in the village in 1648. The church was severely damaged or largely destroyed – only part of the tower survived. Around 1700, a new church was built as a branch church.

The village church of Zettemin is an early Gothic fieldstone church; construction probably began at the end of the 13th century.

The manor house was built in the 1750s under the von Maltzahn family. Until 1937, Zettemin was part of the "säben Dörper" (seven villages), a Pomeranian enclave in the middle of Mecklenburg territory. From 1852, the estate belonged to the von Heyden-Linden family before passing to the Counts of Schwerin in the 19th century.

The church was originally built as a fortified church by farmers from Meesig after the Thirty Years' War. It was first documented in 1255 and originally belonged to the Verchen Monastery before being reintegrated into the Verchen parish.

The baroque manor house was built around 1750 by the von Maltzahn family as a symmetrically laid out brick complex in the late Baroque style.

The Protestant village church of Zettemin is an early Gothic fieldstone church from the 13th century. The oldest part of the furnishings is a medieval baptismal font made of granite from the 14th century.

The connection between Malchin and Remplin runs along a busy road on a separate, well-maintained cycle path. The view over the moorland meadows is spectacular depending on the lighting conditions.
