The summit cross at 881 m on the Grosser Feldberg in the Taunus is a striking landmark and a popular destination for hikers. It stands on the highest point of the mountain and offers a fantastic view of the surrounding landscape. Of course, you can also sign the summit book directly.

The meeting point is on the summit plateau. A little away from the road, you can enjoy the wide view over the Hintertaunus from here. When the visibility is good, you can see as far as the Westerwald and the Vogelsberg.

Nice view, you can vary the route compared to the Komoot suggestion. Is not as crowded as other destinations in the Taunus.

From the Herzberg tower you have a wonderful panoramic view. The Berggasthof Herzberg offers the perfect opportunity for a rest before the descent. Hot meals served all day. https://www.gasthofherzberg.de
