The bridge, rebuilt in 1832, still stands today. A toll was payable to cross the bridge, for which a toll house was built in 1786. The bridge suffered damage from natural disasters such as a tornado in 1954 and the 2002 flood disaster, which was repaired. Most recently, in 2007, the wooden shingle roof was re-covered and the roadway, including both sidewalks, was renewed. In terms of construction, the wooden bridge is comparable to the Hennersdorf wooden bridge.

There is a small wooden hut on the bridge. It is called "To the stone bridge veteran". In 2022, this will be managed on Ascension Day and Pentecost (Sunday and Monday).

The castle is always worth a visit, is very beautiful.

The covered, 55.5-meter-long and 4.6-meter-wide wooden bridge spans the Flöha River, approximately five meters above normal water level. The Flöha River is 46 meters wide at this point. The permitted vehicle height is three meters, and the roadway is 2.6 meters wide. The maximum load capacity is nine tons.
