An impressive building complex. The name "Alte Baumwoll" (Old Cotton Mill) is symbolic of one of Saxony's oldest spinning mills, which operated continuously for such a long period. The mill thus holds special significance for the town and the region. "Alte Baumwoll" was not only a major economic force, but its distinctive industrial architecture continues to shape Flöha's cityscape. If you like old industrial buildings, the “old cotton” is definitely worth a visit.

Flöhatal with Rauenstein Castle

The Hammerleubsdorf stop was opened as Leubsdorfer Hammer with the inauguration of the Hetzdorf (Flöhatal)–Eppendorf section on December 1, 1893. In 1985, the station was renamed Hammer-Leubsdorf, and in 1911, Hammerleubsdorf. From 1930, the station was permanently staffed by a railway official, for whom an office for freight documents, express freight, and ticket sales was added to the waiting hall. From 1935, the station was designed for train crossings. In 1905, it was upgraded to a railway station, but Hammerleubsdorf had been listed as a stop since 1933 and as a halt since 1967. A wooden waiting hall provided shelter for waiting passengers. It is now used as a bus stop. With the closure of the Hetzdorf (Flöhatal)–Eppendorf section, the station was closed on January 2, 1968.
