Always a little quieter than the dike

The GOOD is so close. A nature reserve that is characterized by its migratory, song and wandering birds. Willow marshes and many water zones. Always have binoculars with you. Kingfishers are more likely to be found on the Goseelbe.

I just wanted to get from HH HafenCity to Reinbek, a trail that goes through horrible industrial areas in Hamburg and Reinbek via Goggle Maps, and was surprised at how beautiful the Komoot trail was. Mostly green, water and nature reserve, few roads and only one really ugly spot.

The hiking trail is frequented by many pedestrians and free-roaming dogs - at least on weekends and public holidays. Cycling is possible, but you have to be very careful. Conflicts with dog owners not excluded. Still a very nice way.

A nice facility for sports

Tatenberger Schleuse is a lock in the Bergedorf district of Hamburg. The lock is located in the Dove Elbe in Tatenberg just above the mouth of the Dove Elbe in the Norderelbe. It enables watercraft to navigate this waterway at different water levels. In addition, it is integrated into the flood protection dike and prevents the tidal current from penetrating.

During our break we could watch two boats training. Intereasster stop.
