Sehusa Castle is the original name of today's Seesen Castle and the seat of the district court. It was first documented in 974, when Otto II donated it to the Gandersheim Abbey—presumably as a dowry for his daughter Sophie.

A very interesting place located very close to the train station. There are many garden benches and tables in the courtyard if you want to take a break or just sit and enjoy the view. The observation tower was closed and I couldn't find any opening times. At night there is beautiful lighting.
