Very nice old village with many historic buildings. Be sure to visit the arts and crafts shop "Im Kreuzgang" which is located in the old monastery building.

Not very big, it's easy to get around, but it's still worth taking a break at Berkelbeach, nice ambience, great sandy beach with comfortable loungers and a great view of the lake.

Great nature reserve on both sides of the border. There are lakes, moors, swamp forests and beautiful heathland. The highlight, however, are probably the free-roaming cattle.

The Haaksbergener Venn is worth both a walk and a bike ride. Geese in particular, but also birds of prey can be seen in the wet meadows. Deer often cross the nature reserve at dusk.
