It's a wonderful place for cycling.

Super bike path along the Bocholter-Aa.

To be on the bike again and again to slow down on the Rhine dike.

Two tours, the Stag Beetle Route and the Moor Adventure Trail, can be undertaken independently of one another or combined to form a long circular hiking trail (approx. 6.5 km). The clear signage also ensures easy orientation. The starting point is marked by the car park at the south entrance to the extensive Diersfordter game reserve. The main trail and the Stag Beetle Route (approx. 3.7 km) that soon follows run on a gravel path through a natural oak and pine mixed forest and are easily accessible with a stroller or wheelchair. With a bit of luck, probably best in the early morning or at dusk, you can spot the red and fallow deer, wild boar or mouflons that live here. In addition, two observation platforms provide exciting views of the forest inhabitants. Information boards along the trail explain a lot about the forest and its special inhabitants, such as the stag beetle, which gives this hiking route its name. The "flying deer", as the Dutch call it, is the largest beetle in Germany and is found in the Diersfordt Forest in the largest number in North Rhine-Westphalia. Further north is the unpaved moorland adventure trail (approx. 2 km), which leads in parts over wooden planks directly through a moorland landscape, wet heaths and dry inland dunes. Depending on the weather, the planked path can be slippery and the forest floor muddy. Sturdy shoes are therefore recommended.   Due to the wild animals, there are no benches or waste bins.

Too bad about the red gravel in both dry and wet weather.

If it's not too hot and the wind isn't too strong from the front, then this is a great bike path to ride on.
