The Großer Hemminger Teich (Great Hemmingen Pond) is located on the southern outskirts of Hanover. This lake was created by gravel extraction. The Seniebach stream connects it to the Hemminger Dorfteich (Hemmingen Village Pond). The shoreline features alternating sections of vegetation and open water. The pond is primarily used for fishing. If you fancy a refreshing dip, head to the Hemmingen lido, located right next to the lake.

The Großer Ricklinger Teich is characterized by its diverse shallow water zones, water lily fields and lush aquatic plants.

The Großer Hemminger Teich (also called Hemminger Teich) is a gravel pit lake in the southern part of Hanover, Lower Saxony. It belongs to the group of Ricklinger gravel pits in the Leine River floodplain. The Großer Hemminger Teich is located directly south of the Großer Ricklinger Teich and lies between the smaller Strandbad Hemmingen lake to the west and the Großer Döhrener Teich to the east. The Seniebach stream flows through the Großer Hemminger Teich, connecting it to the Großer Ricklinger Teich. The lake is used for fishing by the Hanover Angling Club.
