Very nice section along the Leineaue between Ruthe and Koldingen and the Koldinger Seenlandschaft. 500 years ago the Leine valley was covered by impenetrable alluvial forests. People cleared the forests, drained the swamps and initially created agricultural land. Later, in many areas, the large-scale cultivation of high-quality sand and gravel began, which continues to this day.
