Wonderful views of the surrounding mountains!

The not too big, idyllic Wildsee with its circular path is actually the ideal length for a nice short round trip. There are many places to sit along the path that invite you to linger. The surrounding mountain panorama is beautiful and in the evening sun the Wildsee and the mountains are a sensational postcard motif.

The beauty of the reservoir on the Gschwandtkopf is still an insider tip among connoisseurs. In the summer months, the lake is a popular hiking and excursion destination, and an e-bike tour to the lake is also more than worthwhile. If you would like to save your energy, you can also conveniently use the nearby cable car. While the surrounding mountains are reflected in the clear water, you can see far into the Möserer Valley and the Hohe Munde. Unfortunately, swimming is not permitted here. The artificial lake holds more than 110,000 m³ of water and serves as a snowmaking pond for artificial snow production in winter. The masses of water stored here enable around 100 coupled snow cannons to produce an impressive snowmaking capacity of 400 liters of snow per second. A few minutes away, on the summit of the Gschwandtkopf, lies the rustic Sonnenalm in the middle of the beautiful Tyrolean mountains with a unique view of the Inn Valley.

The view is great. The lake, not so much. Unfortunately it was created due to ski tourism. The entire mountain is designed for this.

Beautiful lake. There are lots of animals roaming around here. Crayfish are also at home in the lake.

A tour around the lake is definitely worth it.
