Located in the middle of Hadres's cellar lane, the Keller-Wohlfühlplatz (Cellar Well-being Area) is a great place to take a break. At 1.6 km, the Hadres cellar lane is the longest in the Weinviertel. Numerous events take place annually in the 400 press houses and cellars. The cellar lane is a cultural asset whose fundamental elements are preserved. Guidelines ensure that no structural changes are made that do not fit the cellar image. Author Alfred Komarek filmed his novel "Polt" here and owns a press house with an attached cellar. Many of his works were created here or originated here.

Located off the beaten track, it offers many opportunities for discovery and is a worthwhile destination for a day trip or a tour through the Weinviertel region. The heart of the town is Retz's main square, one of the largest and most impressive historical squares in Austria. Surrounded by magnificent townhouses with Renaissance and Baroque facades, it presents a cohesive, historic cityscape. The dominant landmark is the Retz Town Hall Tower, which, together with the town hall itself, forms the architectural centerpiece of the square. For centuries, the tower has shaped the town's skyline, and its observation platform offers a panoramic view of the old town. As a central meeting place and event venue, the main square impressively combines history, vibrant city life, and the regional wine culture.
