The bathing area is nice, but with admission, there are plenty of wild bathing areas around the Hintersee, as well as a free bathing area on the opposite side. Beautiful bathing lake in beautiful nature. The lake can be easily circumnavigated in 1 to 1.5 hours. Numerous benches invite you to linger. Dogs are allowed to swim in one half of the lake

You can also make a detour to the main summit at 1049m. Is on the map https://fuschlsee.salzkammergut.at/oesterreich-tour/detail/100068/ellmaustein.html better drawn. Or choose a different descent route - from the main summit, walk along the ridge on unmarked paths towards the supply road and then walk down comfortably. The paths marked on the Komoot map near the main summit do not exist - the supply path is 300m? beforehand.
