We had a comfortable stay in the small Larcher Alm. There are about 20 beds and a shower. Nice hosts!

The Larcher Alm is a highly recommended stop. In addition to delicious hearty dishes, there is also apple strudel and the homemade cake of the day. Very, very tasty. Even if it is not on the menu, there is good coffee on request. The prices are very fair and the couple who run the hut are the warmest and nicest on the entire crossing of the Alps. Great!

Schinderbach / Rosengartenschlucht In the middle of Imst is the entrance to one of the most beautiful gorges in Austria and one of the most valuable biotopes in Tyrol. The Schinderbach roars through the 2 km long Rosengarten gorge - a spectacle that can be observed from the path that leads through the gorge. The Rosengartenschlucht is highly valued as one of the most valuable biotopes in Tyrol. It is also a treasure trove, especially for geologists, as millions of years of earth's history are reflected here. The Rosengartenschlucht begins at the Johanneskirche right in the city center of Imst. The gorge, which is bordered by a 100 m high rock wall, becomes increasingly narrower and leads to the Blue Grotto, a small cave in which silver-containing galena was searched for as early as Roman times. From the Blue Grotto you then reach Hoch-Imst and can either hike back to Imst via the Wetterkreuz or continue your tour with the Imster Bergbahnen and the Alpine Coaster Imst. Hiked from the Rosental Gorge from Imst. A beautiful mountain path to the hut. You are rewarded in the hut with a great view of the valley in the middle of the mountains. Friendly staff. The food was OK, but the food on offer was significantly reduced in the evenings (but this could also be due to the approaching end of the season). Prices were great for the effort (food etc. is transported by cable car). Sanitary facilities are well maintained. There are options to book rooms or camp here. It is very nice to sit and linger in the hut in the evening. In the morning there is a buffet on offer. Several peaks and viewpoints can be reached from the hut. The descent into the valley is no problem with the right footwear. All in all a great hut and definitely worth seeing.

The Lacher Alm is a great place for a break. There is also a place to stop for refreshments while the alpine pastures are in operation.
