A beautifully situated location on the Lech river, surrounded by a magnificent mountain landscape with plenty of hiking opportunities in every season.

There is a marked winter hiking trail around the lake. However, it is only partially groomed and therefore very suitable for snowshoes.

A beautiful area for snowshoe hikes. I would only venture outside of the marked winter hiking trails with an experienced guide.

Lech (sometimes also with the addition of Lech am Arlberg) is a municipality with 1,605 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2023) and a village on the river of the same name in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg and, like Ebnit, Damüls or Mittelberg, is one of the Vorarlberg Walser villages. There are a lot of accommodation options to be found in Lech. Nice place, reasonably quiet in summer. Usually quite crowded in winter.
