The landlord didn't want to let us (7 people) in anymore because we were late. Then after half an hour of discussion we got our money and a business card from his taxi company special, stood soaked in the middle of the mountain at dusk (about 8:30 p.m.) and had no accommodation.
Admittedly, we were much later than agreed, but at least a place to sleep should already be in there if you have booked and paid, given several phone calls and also got caught in a massive storm in between ...

The Lacher Alm is a great place for a break. There is also a place to stop for refreshments while the alpine pastures are in operation.

The Larcher Alm is a highly recommended stop.
In addition to delicious hearty dishes, there is also apple strudel and the homemade cake of the day. Very, very tasty. Even if it is not on the menu, there is good coffee on request. The prices are very fair and the couple who run the hut are the warmest and nicest on the entire crossing of the Alps. Great!

We had a comfortable stay in the small Larcher Alm. There are about 20 beds and a shower. Nice hosts!

We have been here twice. The first time, the host did NOT impress us with his hospitality, you could tell he was more of a do-or-die attitude. That fits in with some of the other reviews. So we were in good spirits when we heard about the change of tenant.
Except for the day we arrived for the overnight stay (E5). There was a small onset of winter, temperatures dropped a bit and 20-25cm of fresh snow fell, not really a problem. We still had to walk. What you can't read on the website is that the hut has no electricity, only solar. So there was no drying of shoes, no charging of cell phones, no menu, Kässpatzen - ready, warm showers, only heated with wood for only €4 - we did without, the wood stove is turned off after cooking because it needs to be cleaned. Temperatures inside - unacceptable. That was it, NEVER again.
