Sevelen Gorge Trail / 3.5 km circular hiking trail On this approximately 3.5 km circular hiking trail, you can experience nature and the environment in a different way. Is a glacial mill a type of coffee machine or a chicane in downhill skiing? Why is Liechtenstein actually African? And how can more than 1,300 different animals live on a single piece of wood? Bring your spirit of discovery and enjoy the mysterious atmosphere in the Geissberg Gorge or the magnificent views of our unique mountain world. The circular trail can be started from either the Glat parking lot or the town center near the civil defense installation. Simply follow the "Gorge Trail" markings and stay on these trails in the interest of nature and wildlife. The two other hiking trails, marked green and blue, offer a varied alternative to the adventure trail. The mysterious atmosphere in the Geissbergtobel ravine or the magnificent views of our unique mountain world. The special climate in the Geissbergtobel, namely cool, humid air, little sunlight, and barren soils, leads to a strict selection among the potential inhabitants.

From here to Austria, rideable. From here to Liech, not worth hiking with the bike up or down. Regarless of the direction, you will walk.

Quite impressive, the facility probably also serves to supply Feldkirchen's water supply

The Mengschlucht is a gorge in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg close to the border with the Principality of Liechtenstein, which was formed primarily during the last ice age and is traversed by the Meng. This is an area that is of particular importance ecologically (Meng Gorge with the gorge forests) and, in the lower area near the town center of Nenzing, also for local recreation for the population. A freight path goes up to the waterfall, the path from Steg through the Samina Gorge to the waterfall is really impressive in terms of landscape, a nice, challenging hiking trail, but really not suitable for bikes.

Varied short hike. Has a special appeal in rainy weather and is definitely entertaining for children. There is a nice spot at the Meng that is suitable for barbecuing and playing

I started the tour in Nenzing. We went over a mountain meadow and past the Nenzing sky to the Mengschlucht. You should have suitable non-slip shoes for the gorge. Hiking poles are ideal. You should also not be afraid of heights. I don't think the tour is suitable for children. Otherwise a pleasant tour worth seeing with lots of information along the Mengschlucht.

Why "Bad" Gorge? The word "bad" is used in this place name to mean ominous and dangerous. The name probably comes from earlier times, when the timber raftsmen who used the Frutz as a transport route for logs out into the Rhine Valley had difficulty passing through this narrow passage. Today, hikers find a well-secured path. Text / Source: Laterns municipality https://www.laterns.at/freizeit/anfahrt-und-parken/wanderwege/ueble-schlucht
