We had a fantastic meal here after a strenuous climb and challenging descent. The food is a bit more expensive (Kaiserschmarn at just under 15 euros), but the portions are adequate and super tasty.

A very large hut that is very popular with climbers as there are many options in the area. Food and drinks are great, you should plan 1.5 hours for the ascent from the valley.

A hut with delicious food (the homemade cakes are highly recommended) and self-service, which helps ease the crowds a bit when it's busy. A typical sunny destination in the Tannheimer Valley, perhaps with Aggerenstein. In bad weather, it's much quieter and therefore almost more beautiful.

The Buchenberg-Alm near the royal castles and easily accessible. As a result, well-attended to overrun during the day. Come to the Alm shortly before sunrise or just before sunset and enjoy the spectacle! 😉

The Buchenberg can be reached either via various hiking trails to the Alm or via the chair lift. There is a free car park at the chairlift. The hiking routes also start from there.
