Birthplace of the Münster bishop Johannes Bernhard Brinkmann on the church square in Everswinkel.

Here you stand in front of the birthplace of a future bishop. The entire street is no more than 4 meters wide (including walls). The distance to the neighboring house is a small corridor, which certainly wouldn't fit everyone. Overall, therefore, a very small house, but nevertheless, many people probably lived there at the time.

The listed former weaver's house on the east side of the church square was purchased by the municipality to serve as a local history museum. This typical burgher's house, dating from 1781, offers a special atmosphere for civil weddings.

The Alverskirchen church, with its Romanesque tower and Gothic nave (hall with three bays and 5/8 end, rib vault on consoles, fish-bubble tracery), looks back on over 800 years of lived relationship with God.

A great highlight where you absolutely have to stop

The municipality owes its name at least in part to the boar. So it is not surprising that a boar adorns the municipal coat of arms. At the fountain on Magnusplatz, for example, a whole family of wild boars has gathered - created by the now deceased sculptor Günter Rossow

The church tower was built around 1200 in the Romanesque style. On February 28, 1489, the foundation stone was laid for the late Gothic hall church. Construction was completed in 1522.
