Beautiful little town with charming half-timbered houses and many cozy places to stop for a break.

The municipality owes its name, at least in part, to the boar. So it's not surprising that today—along with the (Evener) Winkel and the tower front of the parish church—a boar adorns the municipal coat of arms. And they can also be found everywhere in the village. At the fountain in Magnusplatz, for example, an entire family of wild boars has gathered—created by the now-deceased sculptor Günter Rossow.

Everswinkel's heraldic animal is a constant presence in the town. On Magnusplatz, a whole family of wild boars cavorts around a fountain. A bronze boar at the main entrance of the town hall also commemorates the municipality's namesake.

The Alverskirchen church, with its Romanesque tower and Gothic nave (hall with three bays and 5/8 end, rib vault on consoles, fish-bubble tracery), looks back on over 800 years of lived relationship with God.

The church tower was built around 1200 in the Romanesque style. On February 28, 1489, the foundation stone was laid for the late Gothic hall church. Construction was completed in 1522.

The church in Alverskirchen, with its Romanesque tower and Gothic nave (a hall with three bays and a 5/8 apse, ribbed vaulting on corbels, and fish-bladder tracery), looks back on over 800 years of lived religious life. The church's patron saint is Saint Agatha from Catania, Sicily.
