Extraordinary pyramid of rock and ice, whose summit offers an almost unlimited panoramic view. Highest peak located exclusively in the canton of Ticino.

Cevio is the capital of Vallemaggia, nevertheless its size is small. The suggestive central streets are worth a visit.

Leave rucksacks at the crossing point and in 5 minutes without luggage to the viewpoint.

Our "supply station". A nice village with a supermarket. In the Albergo della Posta, outside on the piazza, the Prosecco is served in chilled glasses.

Today you can admire the wealth of well-preserved historical evidence in the village, including the village square surrounded by houses from the 19th century. The village consists of several hamlets, spread over almost 3 km, some of which are worth seeing. Particularly interesting are the 19th century buildings lined up in the beautiful village square and the large mansions of the old village center of Cevio. The Ethnographic Museum of the Maggia Valley has been set up in two of these houses, which formerly belonged to the Franzoni family.

Steep climb from alpe nimi capana. Well worth the view in good weather conditions

Beautiful views. A bit sketchy at some points we decided to stop moving forward due to snow patches. Not recommend in wet conditions
