A small pass from Toggenburg to Amden and thus to Lake Walen. A small moor. And a very beautiful view of the upper Toggenburg.

Danger! Severe storms sometimes occur here that do not appear in the weather forecast and cannot be seen from the valley. Check out Windy beforehand to be on the safe side and take gaiters with you, as there can still be deep snow in April and you can sink in heavily. Not a hike for inexperienced people.

Super round, which can be easily organized with the journey by SBB. All climbs are moderate. Partly beautiful routes - and you are moving in a part of Switzerland in which the gastronomy has remained pleasantly down to earth. Recommendation: lunch at the Sternen in Neu St. Johann and a refreshment break after the descent from Schwägalp in the "Altes Bild" inn in Eggerstanden. Oh yes, and don't shoot all the powder on the Schwägalp Pass ... there are a few more climbs that get pretty tough after 80 km.
