트렘펠 수력 발전소는 투르 강의 자연적인 낙차를 이용하여 친환경적으로 전기를 생산합니다. 이 시설은 원래 1920년대에 건설되었으며 2007년에 포괄적으로 현대화되었습니다. 오늘날 1.8MW의 용량을 가진 수력 발전소는 연간 약 8백만 kWh의 전기를 생산하며, 이는 약 2,000 가구에 충분한 양입니다. 발전소 바로 옆에는 작은 협곡이 있는 투르 강의 인상적인 구간이 지나가며 재생 에너지 활용에 대한 흥미로운 통찰력을 제공합니다.

You can also stay overnight at the Tanzboden, for example, if you're hiking the Toggenburg High Trail. Please note, however, that reservations cannot be made from Sunday to Monday or Monday to Tuesday, as Monday is a day of rest. Small viewing hill, but with a fantastic panoramic view. Since there is a counter-climb on the descent, you can "take" the hill with you. And on the ascent anyway...

The small elevation is not directly on the hiking trail. However, it offers a very good view of Toggenburg and towards Alpstein, so the mini detour is worth it.

Anni and Köbi are super nice hosts. I wouldn't want to miss the mosquito fart after dinner and the "dewormer" when I say goodbye in the morning.

The Churfirsten, from all sides and perspectives, make a beautiful picture. And the lovely Eastern Swiss landscape is simply beautiful.
