Rasa is a tiny mountain village in the Centovalli, accessible only on foot or by cable car from Verdasio. At an altitude of approximately 900 meters, it nestles on sunny slopes. Narrow streets, old stone houses, and a quiet piazza lend the village a special charm. Rasa is considered a car-free paradise.

Super beautiful and a great view in every season

Pizzo Leone (1659 m) is considered the guardian of the "Ghridone". Good destination in all seasons but late spring and autumn are ideal. Magnificent view of Lake Maggiore, the Pre-Alps and the Alps.

One of our favorite hikes in Ticino! Scenic driveway with the post bus from Magadino. Short climb from the Alpe di Neggia (unfortunately closed), magnificent view from Monte Gambarogno and a beautiful, comfortable descent to Alpe Cedullo (be sure to stop off). Mostly through Buchenwald down to Indemini and with the post bus (note the timetable!) back to Magadino.

Mandatory summit, because being at the top is everything 😜 Seriously: There are better views from the ridges in front.

Cardada cable car Orselina – Cardada 1952 Construction of the first cable car connecting Orselina and Cardada; a collaboration between the Boldini company in Locarno and the Von Roll company in Thun.
