There is also some interesting information here about the Glockner-Kaprun power plant network. For example, the Margaitzen reservoir is connected to the Moserboden via a tunnel and in this way feeds the Moserboden with meltwater from the Pasterze.

Great hike, starting from the Aualm. The last part at the summit is a bit difficult, but with a little caution and concentration it is doable even for a flatlander like me 😉. The view at the top is unique!!!

A hike from the Aualm that anyone can do. Very nice summit cross where you should be careful because the walls drop vertically to Schuhflickersee. If you are already up there, you should also descend to the Schuflickersee. A very special setting.

Crystal clear water in the man-made lake. A number of tadpoles, frogs, toads and even mountain newts cavort in the water 🥰
