Beautiful AV cabin beautifully situated on a small lake. There is no cell phone reception and the shower was closed due to lack of water. The food was delicious and came in large bowls for each table. Breakfast is buffet.

The way there is cool enough, but the view and the mountains are awesome.

The Kärlingerhaus is a real treat. We loved it here in September 2021! :D What a great hutte with all you could expect, plus in an amazing setting over the Funtensee.

Because most of the visitors get off at Sr. Bartholomä, there is usually a little less going on at Obersee. When you have reached the Fischunkelalm, the flow of visitors is even greater. From here you hike for about 20 minutes to the Röthbach waterfall.

The Fischunkelalm is supplied via this hut.

That is a bit surprising, everyone is talking about the so-called Kärlingerhaus - however, FUNTENSEEHAUS can be clearly read on the official sign of the D. and Ö AV. It doesn't matter, both come out the same - and the cool light tastes like any of the strenuous access routes.
