Malga Coltrondo im Winter

The Rinfreddo hiking refuge is located at m. 1887 asl., in a wonderful green mountain pasture in the Eastern Dolomites of Val Comelico (upper province of Belluno). Easily accessible by car (about 9 km from the town of Padola in the Municipality of Comelico Superiore), the refuge has 3 bedrooms, for a total of 20 beds, toilets, and bathroom with shower. Thanks to paths and mule tracks, it is connected with farmhouses, huts and refuges located in the neighboring valleys of Comelico, Pusteria in Alto Adige and Ost-Tirol in Austria. The 2115 m high Kartitscher Dorfberg offers a great all-round view and is a worthwhile tour destination. We walked from Kartitsch via St. Oswald and took the forest path. This leads up quite wildly, but only offers a few views on the last section. The last 10 minutes demand a bit of stamina again and then it's done. You either go back the same way, we have chosen a variant to Kartitsch (see my tour no. 140) or you continue to hike to Golzentipp. Have fun climbing the Dorfberg!
