Nestled in a green valley are several small to tiny moorland lakes: the Trögseen. Don't miss the small path that leads to the shore of the largest of these ponds. Enjoy a break on the bench there or treat yourself to a refreshing swim. A truly idyllic natural setting!

From the Grundlehen car park (even accessible by public transport) via the Ellmaualm, the climb to the Trögseen is partly steep, but manageable with a bit of fitness.

The climb is complete! Now for a wonderfully refreshing swim in Lake Trögsee – you'll feel the cool mountain water on your skin and instantly feel refreshed and fit again. While the warm sun dries you, you sit comfortably on the bench and gaze up at the blue sky. Our nature is so magnificent – so magnificent is the Grossarl Valley.

Great hike, starting from the Aualm. The last part at the summit is a bit difficult, but with a little caution and concentration it is doable even for a flatlander like me 😉. The view at the top is unique!!!

The Hochkönig is 2941 m above sea level. A. the highest mountain range in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The main peak, which is also called Hochkönig, towers over all mountains within a radius of around 34 kilometers
