A very beautiful side route that's worth the effort. Fewer tourists initially, but more strenuous as you first descend and then climb steeply. But you'll be rewarded with peace and quiet and the beautiful lakes.

The Spiegelsee is located in the Schladming-Dachstein region. From the Reiteralm you can take a leisurely hike to the lake and enjoy the wonderful view of the Dachstein massif reflected in the water. My tip: take a break here.
