After a beautiful and strenuous climb, there is a place to stop for a break in a magnificent landscape at the foot of the Zimba.

A rest in the rustic hut is an absolute must. Here you will meet die-hard hikers away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Very good food and very friendly hosts.

A beautiful, quiet hut, which neither cable car nor mountain bike trails lead to. With 38 beds, it is a recommended option for spending the night there before or after the summit tour and spreading the altitude over several days. Very friendly hosts and good food. Because it is very popular, beds or rooms are almost only available during the week. If you stay overnight, you should know that there are no charging options for cell phones and that you should bring a power bank with you. Numerous peaks such as Zwölferkopf, Schafgufel, Gottvaterspitze, Großer Valkastiel and Zimba are easy to reach from the hut. From Brand it is a little over two hours' climb to the hut. If you see a large white cooler bag on the side of the road about 30 minutes from Brand, take a look inside. If you have some space in your backpack, you can take something with you for the hut, e.g. a head of lettuce.

The Sarotlahütte is a very idyllically located, pretty little AV hut with friendly service.

This hut is really a tip. Great hut team. Small cozy hut.

The Heinrich-Hüter-Hütte is beautifully located at the foot of the Zimba. A very well-kept and pretty hut where nothing is left to be desired.

Extremely well-organized hut operation, which, however, lacks the special charm of an alpine hut. After the rebuild everything was in tip top order and the hut operators were very charismatic.
