At only 31 km, the Zillertal Cycle Route is perfect for anyone who would like to take a more leisurely approach to their cycling holiday in Austria. This cycle tour through the famous Zillertal is especially popular with beginners and families with children. Because the easy route takes you along the wide, sunny valley floor, mostly on asphalt and gravel without any significant climbs.

Great starting point for many hiking routes.

The landscape is beautiful wherever you look, but be careful, the cycle path also has some pitfalls. Suddenly it goes steeply uphill and right at the top you have to stop abruptly because a road crosses it. Always be alert!

Leads past the Schlitterer See.

Impressive natural spectacle. The path is easy to do with children, as there is always a lot to see. Partly little overcrowded.

Surprisingly easy and smooth to ride on a racing bike. Shortly before Mayrhofen there are some pieces of gravel, but they are easy to ride with a racing bike and slightly wider tires (32mm).

There are several viewing platforms directly at the Ahornbahn with a gigantic view in good weather.

Parking is well marked on site. The way to the top should not be underestimated. As a tip I give top to bottom is much more comfortable. You can get to the top via taxi shuttle buses from the village.
