Also very nice in winter. The path is prepared for a winter hike and is very easy to walk. There is plenty of seating along the lake with great views and lots of rubbish bins.

A great destination for families in summer and especially in autumn. The paths are easy to walk and well developed - in summer you can swim, in autumn you can enjoy the colorful foliage. It can be busy, the Eibsee is a well-known destination.

If you don't want to or can't do the Watzmann crossing as a "good German", there are at least two challenging but nevertheless feasible hikes to the Zugspitze. Personally, I find the "Gatterl-Tour" from Ehrwald more beautiful than over the Reintal. A lot is simply offered to the eye here. Running is also worthwhile, because the rides up to the Zugspitze are not exactly cheap and if you don't want to go sledding upstairs, you can see everything pretty quickly. You don't have to drive up for the food, which is more reminiscent of motorway service stations. But it is the best food in the world after a long climb ;-)

The path around the Eibsee is one of the most beautiful and varied. Sometimes right along the water, then again through dense forest or over the Eibseebrücke. The crystal clear, light to turquoise blue water magically attracts the eye again and again. Impressive views of the lake and the Zugspitze towering directly above the lake are always awaiting you. Approx. The Eibsee is 4.8 hectares in size and up to 34 m deep. Due to its location below the Zugspitze and the clear, green shimmering water, the Eibsee is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Alps. It was created in the last ice age when a landslide created the basin in which the lake lies today and is now a popular destination that I can highly recommend - a wonderful piece of nature.
