The path around the Eibsee is one of the most beautiful and varied. Sometimes right along the water, then again through dense forest or over the Eibseebrücke.
The crystal clear, light to turquoise blue water magically attracts the eye again and again. Impressive views of the lake and the Zugspitze towering directly above the lake are always awaiting you.
Approx. The Eibsee is 4.8 hectares in size and up to 34 m deep. Due to its location below the Zugspitze and the clear, green shimmering water, the Eibsee is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Alps.
It was created in the last ice age when a landslide created the basin in which the lake lies today and is now a popular destination that I can highly recommend - a wonderful piece of nature.
After we were on the Zugspitze, we hiked a bit along the Eibsee on June 22, 2011 - a very nice lasting memory.
