The oldest and largest of the three large park lakes. For me also the prettiest, because optically the most original. The Glems was artificially dammed back in 1566 to improve Stuttgart's water supply.
A crossing point between the centrally located Neuer See and the Pfaffensee. At the dam, there is a gated access point with a view of the lake, marked with the year 1930.
The Pfaffensee is a paradise for ducks and birds. On the orders of Duke Christoph, it was artificially dammed in 1566 to provide drinking water, the Bärensee followed 50 years later and the Neuer See 200 years later.
