It is a very beautiful and easy to walk tour. It is also suitable for children. (But be careful! There are a lot of small bridges and footbridges over the creek!) Appropriate footwear is recommended. Another tip: Dear hikers, take your used paper handkerchiefs home with you and dispose of them there! I always have a bag with me for my waste! Do it anyway. Thanks!!

Ludwig I. already left here. On August 9, 1862, the Bavarian King, who was enthusiastic about the Palatinate, walked through the Karlstal near Trippstadt together with His Royal Highness, Grand Duke Ludwig III. of Hesse and near the Rhine, and Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Hildegard of Austria. This is confirmed by a cast-iron commemorative plaque embedded in one of the large, green, moss-covered sandstone blocks that lie around in the ravine through which the Moosalb rippled like giant forgotten toys. The silent landmark of the city of Kaiserslautern. A hike up the mountain and climbing the tower is always worth it. From the top you have a wonderful view over the Palatinate Forest and the northern Palatinate region.
