At 880.8 meters above sea level, the Bolberg is the highest point in the Reutlingen district. From here, you can also enjoy a fantastic panoramic view along the Albtrauf, the area before the Swabian Alb, as well as the Schönbuch and the foothills of the Northern Black Forest.

Outside of opening hours, non-alcoholic drinks are available in a refrigerator next to the door. Exemplary: A small hut with various garbage bins is available for waste separation. A fire escape is currently being installed at the back of the front wall for safety reasons.

The Kornbühl is a striking little mountain near Salmendingen that stands out clearly from the landscape. Below the summit there is a beautiful juniper heath. The flora and fauna in this area are also worth admiring.

Nature reserve Around 1900 the mountain was hardly forested due to grazing. Today it is the task of nature conservation to protect open spaces from succession. Since June 15, 1983, the 11.6 hectare nature reserve on Kornbühl has protected the vegetation complex of juniper heath, semi-dry grassland and thorn bushes, as well as their species-rich flora and fauna, which is typical of the southern slopes of the Swabian Alb, which are grazed by sheep. The conical shape of the mountain is the starting point for orientation in all directions and thus different microclimatic conditions. This enabled a variety of plant communities to develop. Around 200 plant and almost 350 animal species have been identified around the Kornbühl, including 15 species of grasshoppers and 29 species of butterflies.
