The Reichenhaller Haus is located directly below the summit of the Hochstaufen mountain at approximately 1,750 meters and is a popular stop for hikers and via ferrata climbers. The Alpine Club hut offers a cozy atmosphere, simple overnight accommodations, and a wonderful sun terrace with impressive views over Bad Reichenhall, the Salzach Valley, and as far as Lake Chiemsee. Due to its exposed location, the Reichenhaller Haus is only accessible on foot—either via various mountain trails or the challenging Pidinger Klettersteig (via ferrata). It serves many mountaineers as a rest stop before the final ascent to the summit or as the destination of a scenic day tour.

There's hardly a more beautiful hut in this area than the Reichenhaller Haus. Despite the arduous climb and the deprivation of washing due to a lack of water, you'll be rewarded with one of the most beautiful views anywhere.

Beautiful alpine pasture with several alpine huts... unfortunately a bit crowded, as it can be reached by car via a toll road

Apparently people are deterred by the increased toll to 10€. Was up there during the week and on Saturday with wonderful weather. There was no talk of overflowing in either case.

The Winkelmoosalm Almstüberl - absolutely recommendable stopover. Equipped with several charging options for e-bikers.

Always happy, the long journey here is worth it. You can drive down an eternally long and hard trail behind the alpine pasture. Top.

Very nice little alpine pasture, although there is no business at the moment, the boss still sold me something to drink. Super sunny seating with great views.

Great hut on the Hochstaufen. Tasty small dishes and a few drinks will quickly help you regain your strength to get on or off again. Easily accessible via the normal route, Goldtropfsteig, Steinerne Jäger or the Pidinger via ferrata.
