The Clemensberg is located in the Neuer Hagen nature reserve, also known as the Niedersfelder Hochheide. It is the fifth highest mountain in the Sauerland. The Clemensberg once had a height of 839.2 meters. But the peak of the mountain was removed as part of the diabase mining. Today's summit is to the north-east of the quarry and originally had a height of 837 metres. As part of a reclamation plan, this peak was raised to 840 meters. Today's summit cross is almost 450 meters west of the former summit. From the mountain cross you can enjoy a wonderful view over the natural area of Harfeld to the Rothaarkamm. At the summit of Homert you have a breathtaking view of the mountains and valleys of the Sauerland. The climb up the 656 meter high mountain is very worthwhile. When you reach the top, take a little time and enjoy the panorama and the clean air.

When there is snow on the Homer Summit, it looks like a winter wonderland. I can only recommend it!

Especially when the heather is in bloom, the Bald Asten is a sea of flowers. There is also a hotel up here. At 841.9 meters, it is the third highest mountain in the Rothaargebirge after the Langenberg and Hegekopf and the second highest mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia after the Langenberg. The Lenne and Odeborn springs and a high heath are located on the mountain.

Great observation tower, unfortunately you could not look over the tallest trees.

Cute observation tower, which is also called "Eiffel Tower" (according to our hiking guide). Unfortunately now in summer the trees were so green that you couldn't look down to the county. Great resting place.
