The Schmalzbach threshold is a former drift facility with approx. 2500m² of water area. It was built in wood in 1798 by the Royal Forestry Administration. In 1828 simple accommodation was built for the drift workers

We were guests at the Schwellhäusl on September 20th, 2022 and were very happy about the good service at reasonable prices, the food was served very quickly and was delicious.
