The Catholic parish church of St. John the Baptist in Zankenhausen is essentially a late Gothic building, which was given a Baroque makeover in 1756/57. The church is decorated with Wessobrunn stucco work attributed to Franz Xaver Schmuzer.

A beautiful beach promenade; benches everywhere invite you to take a break.

Despite the gently sloping, gravelly beach, it's worth taking a short break to enjoy the view and head down to the water. Nearby, "Der Fischer" (The Fisherman) invites you to stop for a rest.

Mandatory bike path between Eresing and Schwabhausen. You have to change sides twice along the route, which doesn't exactly make for quick and safe progress. The asphalt, however, is of good quality.

At speed, it's a bit like a roller coaster. Great fun! But watch out for oncoming vehicles, of course!

Herrsching has a wonderful promenade along the lake. There's a great beer garden right on the water at the steamer pier. Just be careful with the beer, otherwise the bike ride home will be tough.
