Funny building with a curious interior

It is clearly visible that it is an artificial oak, a structure that is over 250 years old

You can see both the charcoal burning museum and a number of cool wood carvings. A restaurant takes care of your physical well-being. A rest table also invites you to eat your own food. A small parking lot is available free of charge

The hut was rebuilt by Harzclub. The previous one was dilapidated. It looks like a small church and is also nicknamed the chapel.

You can marvel at the finest chainsaw art here. A great starting point for a hike.

Nice excursion destination with free parking spaces and a stamp office of the HWN. From here you can start several great tours, e.g. to the Rotestein, the suspension bridge over the Rappbodetalsperre or to the Schöneburg

From there straight over to the chimney mountain 👍

Fantastic at sunset, but worth it anytime! One of the most beautiful stamping points of the HWN. From here you can go down the Mägdetrappe to Mägdesprung or continue on the pioneer path to Alexisbad.
