This nice little church, which essentially dates back to the Middle Ages (probably around 1350), was built in this form in 1759. The recessed choir in the east, closed on three sides, essentially comes from the demolished medieval predecessor building. In 1885, when the church was extended, an octagonal storey was added to the tower, which contains the belfry with the two bells. The high altar, which shows St. Afra of Augsburg on one side and her mother, St. Hilaria, on the other side, dates from 1730. Unfortunately, this chapel was closed today and we were only able to glimpse the interior through a side window - but it was worth it. All in all, a very tranquil and quiet place in the hamlet of Arnried.
