The valley is a natural, narrow valley with a gurgling stream in the center; this is the most beautiful section of the trail.

A beautiful and peaceful hiking valley. With the current weather conditions (and actually always), you should be a little more careful because the stones and bridge wood are wet and slippery.

Important notice from November 14, 2025: The wire rope is torn in several places. There is a risk of injury if you happen to touch it there. Please always take a quick look at the wire rope!

Pure nature

Immediately after the railway underpass on the B42, you enter the gorge. It becomes quiet, and all you can hear are the chirping of birds and the babbling of the Pulsbach stream. The path is very beautiful, but in places it's very narrow and steep, requiring surefootedness. I wouldn't walk it if it's wet. Here, we also come across the signs for the Rheinsteig trail, which then guide us to Prath.

Beautiful waterfall here in the gorge...

The Pulsbach not only has this one very beautiful waterfall, but also many other small and medium-sized waterfalls. In rainy years, like 2024 and winter 2025, there is a very audible splashing and murmuring here and it looks simply amazing. The steep cliffs are decorated with mosses and ferns, which are beautifully green even in winter. Simply a great tour along the stream!!
