Definitely worth it. You need to be sure-footed and athletic for the climb. It's not a lot of meters, but the terrain is partly loose scree or (wet) earth on a steep slope. For an extra dramatic effect, take the right turn at the top instead of going through the forest; it's then over dry scree with a great view. And best wishes to the gnome!
