Nice hut with a place to rest. But you can't go into the hut!

This is a site that was inhabited by people thousands of years ago, as can be proven by archaeological finds. Visitors of our modern times are invited to stay at least for a short time. Some will certainly be happy to take advantage of the opportunity offered here after the climb.

Unfortunately, the passing hiker / walker can no longer expect a place to stop for a break at this historic mill in the valley of the Ehrbach.

A lovely place to linger and, in the past, to stop for a drink. Unfortunately, the mill is now closed and the mill wheel is no longer in use because Aunt Gertrud died. God rest her soul. Hopefully she is in a better world now...

Several hiking trails meet at this oak tree. That's why a hut was built here.

It's a shame that the restaurant is closed. It was always a nice opportunity to have a cheap drink after the gorge. I missed it yesterday. Unfortunately, the mill ditch to the mill wheel was also closed. I always liked to turn the mill wheel for a short time.

The Hedwig oak is also called the angel oak. Named after Hedwig Humperdinck (wife of VVV member Engelbert Humperdinck). - Lumpy trunk, branches from 4m high, 6 main branches at 8-10m high, sessile oak. The refuge is located on a small hill directly on the Vierseenblick path and only a few hundred meters away from the Köhlerhütte.
