Source: www.hatzlife.de The Königshütte waterfall is located in a former quarry in the Rothehütte district of Königshütte, directly on the B27 federal road. This quarry on the southern slope of the Rabenstein received its current form in the 1950s. Previously, it was used for the last time to extract building material for the Königshütte transfer dam and for the Mandelholz dam. The Königshütte waterfall was artificially created in 1994. It is fed by a small nameless brook, which rises about two kilometers to the north-east not far from the Hornberg lime works. The water falls about 15 meters over a ledge. Below the waterfall, the small stream flows into the Kalte Bode after a few dozen meters.
