Not for nothing one of the most popular destinations in the Fichtelgebirge, whether on foot, by mountain bike or by chairlift, everyone gets their money's worth up here. Access to the Asenturm is free and definitely worth it. From here you have a wonderful view far into the Fichtelgebirge. A visit to the Asenturm restaurant is definitely a good idea, nice terrace and nice service, food and drinks at fair prices. Beautiful photo motifs are the landmark, the summit cross and the Goethefelsen.

Always a popular starting point and a great photo opportunity. The symbol of the Ochsenkopf is somewhat hidden not far from the mountain stations of the chairlifts. Pay attention to the signposts, the way there is signposted. From the landmark you have a wonderful view over the Fichtelgebirge.

With its new (built in 2012), 12-meter-high observation tower, the Hohe Kreuz – the highest point of the "hollow mountain" (522 + 12 m) – is now on par with the Adlerstein in height. The observation tower Hohes Kreuz on the Hohlen Berg, it is located on the hiking route between Muggendorf and Engelhardsberg, the approx. 12 meter high tower offers a good all-round view.

The Nußhardt Stube is a cover cave. It is formed from the huge boulders of the Blockmeer on the summit. The entrance to the interior of the Nußhardt Stube is easy to miss. There are only two places where you can squeeze your way inside between the granite blocks.

Because of the free, wide view in all directions (Bavarian Forest, Rhön, Thuringian Forest, Ore Mountains), the mountain was a popular destination from an early stage, and the level of awareness was significantly increased in 1805 by a visit to the then Prussian sovereignty. Opened up for tourism from 1878, the mountain still attracts many hikers who have to climb it on foot because there is no public road to the summit. The Staffelberg is one of the geotopes in the district of Lichtenfels. In 2008, the Bavarian State Office for the Environment awarded it the quality seal of Bavaria's most beautiful geotopes during a ceremony.
