The nearby Vestbirk campsite offers canoe and rowboat rentals, making it easy to explore the lake.

Østbirk Kirke is a historic church in Østbirk, Central Jutland, Denmark. The church dates from around 1200 and has been rebuilt several times over the centuries. It was originally associated with Voer Abbey in the Middle Ages and later became associated with the Skram family of Urup Estate. The church is characterized by a mix of architectural styles, including a late Gothic tower and a Renaissance chancel. Inside is a late Gothic three-part altarpiece depicting various saints and biblical scenes.

We went back the same route because we liked it so much. Next you could have seen the hydroelectric power station, the former clothing factory. We wanted to use what was probably the sunniest day of our vacation to visit the beach.
