Unlike most churches in the area, Låstrup Church is built from rough rock blocks, with only the corner stones being hewn. The church, built in the Romanesque style, dates back to the end of the 12th century. The porch was added around 1500. Building findings, such as a walled-up passage, indicate that there was originally a tower to the west. Lynderup Church is located in the hilly terrain around Hjarbæk Fjord. Its history is closely linked to the nearby Lynderupgaard manor, to which the church belonged for several centuries.

The main building of Lynderupgaard was built in 1556 and is a three-winged half-timbered building open to the south. Built on a square rampart surrounded by a moat. Lynderupgaard is first mentioned in 1404 and belonged to the bishopric of Viborg. During the Reformation conflict it was burned down in 1534. The hilly road here leads past Tårup Farm and Tårup Church. Tårup Farm is a farmstead on Hjarbæk Fjord, in Tårup Sogn, Fjends Herred, Viborg Municipality. The main building of Tårup Farm was built between 1580 and 1582. It consists of a main wing made of monk's stone and two side wings made of half-timbering.
